Getting ready for a move-out clean
A move-out clean is built for handing back keys or getting a home ready for the next people. It goes further than a deep clean because the home is empty: your cleaner can get inside every cabinet and drawer and into the appliances.
The same service works as a move-in clean: book it for the empty home before your furniture arrives.
Before your cleaner arrives
- Move everything out first; the price is for an empty home.
- Keep water and power on.
- Leave entry instructions, a lockbox code or a gate code in your notes.
- Have your landlord or HOA checklist? Compare it with the list here and the add-ons.
- Book the day before an inspection if you can, so there is room for a touch-up.

Does the home need to be empty?
Yes. Move-out cleaning is priced for an empty home with water and power on. If furniture is staying, book a deep clean.
Will this get my deposit back?
We cannot promise what a landlord decides, but a move-out clean covers the areas move-out inspections usually check: inside appliances, cabinets and drawers, sills and tracks, baseboards and bathrooms. If your checklist lists something else, ask us before you book.
Do you shampoo carpets or wash exterior windows?
No. Those are not part of house cleaning. Interior windows ($6 each) and sliding glass doors ($15 each) are available as add-ons.
Do I need to be home during the clean?
No. Many customers leave entry instructions, a lockbox code or a gate code in the booking notes. If you would rather be there, that is fine too.
