Permit Required Reality

14x16 = 224 sqft. Above 120 sqft, most California cities require building permits. Add 4-8 weeks to the project for permit processing.

Foundation Considerations

14x16 gazebos weigh 800-1,500 lbs assembled. Concrete pad foundation strongly recommended for permanent installs.

Install Cost

14x16 hardtop install: $999-$1,299. Premium cedar (Yardistry): $1,099-$1,499.
