The house rules every independent pro follows on Zomg The Handyman assignments. Read it before you accept your first job.
How this binds you. This policy is incorporated by reference into the Zomg The Handyman Independent Contractor Agreement (Section 14). Accepting any assignment after it is published means you agree to it. The workmanship and chargeback conditions in Section 6 are part of the basis of your compensation under Section 6 of that agreement. The copy published in the Pro app under Compliance is the controlling version; this page is provided for reference.
All customers introduced to you through Zomg The Handyman remain customers of Zomg The Handyman. You may not solicit, accept, or perform work for them outside the platform for the duration of our working relationship and for 12 months afterward.
Do not give customers personal contact details for the purpose of arranging work directly.
You may not send another person in your place, or bring helpers onto a job site, without written approval in advance.
Purchase materials only where approved in advance for a specific assignment. Submit receipts through the Pro app. Unapproved purchases are not reimbursed.
You are paid for work that is completed to the standard the customer was promised. Photograph your finished work before you leave — those photos are your proof.
Callbacks. If a customer reports a defect in your work within our 30-day workmanship warranty, you will be offered the callback first. Returning to correct your own work is not a new paid assignment.
Disputes and chargebacks. If a customer disputes, charges back, or is refunded a payment because of the quality of your work, payout for that job is held until the dispute is resolved. If Zomg The Handyman loses the dispute or must refund the customer because the work was defective or incomplete, pay for that job is not earned, and you remain responsible for correcting the work if the customer allows it.
Clawback. If you were already paid for a job that is later refunded or charged back because of your workmanship, the amount Zomg The Handyman lost may be offset against your future payouts. If no future payouts are owed, you agree to repay that amount within 30 days of written notice.
Release. If the dispute is resolved in Zomg The Handyman’s favor, or the chargeback was unrelated to your workmanship, your full pay is released.
By accepting an assignment you confirm that you have read and understood this policy, and agree to follow it on every assignment you accept.
