Certification Information

In California, electrical work that costs over $500 (including labor and materials) requires a C-10 Electrical Contractor license from the CSLB. Many of our electrical jobs like single fixture swaps and outlet replacements fall within the handyman exemption under $500. However, having a C-10 license or being a certified journeyman electrician qualifies you for the highest-paying jobs on our platform, including panel work, EV charger installations, and whole-home rewiring projects.

2+ years of electrical experience
Knowledge of California electrical codes (NEC)
Comfortable working with 120V and 240V circuits
Ceiling fan and fixture installation experience
Strong customer communication skills
C-10 license or journeyman cert (preferred)
