Professional Mr Cool installation starting at just $499. Proper line set routing, electrical hookup, and system commissioning. All models: DIY 4th Gen, Universal, Olympus. Why struggle with DIY when pro install costs so little?
Book Mr Cool Install - From $499Yes, it says "DIY" on the box. But here's what Mr Cool doesn't tell you on their YouTube videos.
The pre-charged line sets are easy to kink during routing. One kink restricts refrigerant flow and can kill the compressor within months. Our techs route line sets with proper bend radiuses every time.
Most Mr Cool units need a dedicated 240V circuit. Running the whip from the disconnect to the unit requires proper gauge wire, correct breaker sizing, and code-compliant connections. Get it wrong and you risk a fire or a fried unit.
Drilling a 3" hole through your wall in the right spot, at the right angle, with proper sealing is harder than it looks. Wrong spot = visible hole, water intrusion, or hitting a stud, wire, or pipe.
The indoor unit must be mounted at the correct height for optimal airflow and condensate drainage. Too low = poor circulation. Too high = hard to maintain. Wrong angle = water leaks inside your home.
The drain line needs proper slope to prevent water backup. Improper drainage leads to water damage, mold growth, and unit shutdowns. Our installs include proper drain routing with a condensate trap.
Professional installation doesn't void your warranty. But improper DIY installation that causes damage IS excluded from warranty coverage. A $499 pro install protects your $1,500+ unit investment.
We regularly get calls from homeowners who attempted DIY Mr Cool installation and ran into problems:
Fixing a botched DIY install costs $200-$500. Getting it done right the first time costs $499.

Book online and tell us your Mr Cool model and room details. We confirm placement for indoor unit, outdoor unit, and line set routing before we arrive.
We install the mounting plate with proper anchoring (into studs, not just drywall), ensure level placement, and verify correct height for optimal airflow and drainage.
We drill the wall penetration at the correct angle (slight downward slope for drainage), route the line set without kinks using proper bend techniques, and seal the wall opening against weather.
Outdoor unit positioned on a level pad with proper clearance. Line set connected, condensate drain routed, and electrical whip connected from the disconnect to the unit.
We power up the system, verify proper operation in cooling and heating modes, check refrigerant pressures, set up Wi-Fi/app control, and walk you through operation. Full cleanup included.
